Bedford Blues fireworks and funfair is Friday 6 November at Goldington Road: £9 online, under-6s free, main display 8pm, buy ahead and arrive before the 8pm cut-off.
The Bedford Blues Fireworks Display and Funfair is on Friday 6 November 2026 at Goldington Road. The club announced it on 7 September and tickets are on sale now: £9 online, under-6s free. Gates, funfair, bars and food open at 6pm, the children’s display is at 7pm, the main display is at 8pm, and nobody is admitted after 8pm.
Updated 6 October: Ampthill’s tickets are on sale and its beacon will be lit by a Local Hero chosen from public nominations. The Blues display is still on sale at £9.
Updated 30 September: the club has confirmed the date, prices and times, and tickets are on sale. Ampthill’s display is the same night, and the Secret Farm at Moggerhanger has one a week earlier, on Friday 30 October.
The key facts
All from the club’s announcement of 7 September and its ticket page, checked on 30 September.
- Date: Friday 6 November 2026. Bonfire night itself is a Thursday this year.
- Where: Goldington Road, the Blues’ home ground, about five minutes’ walk from the town centre.
- 6pm: gates, funfair, bars and food outlets open. The ticket page lists the event as running from 6pm to 9pm.
- 7pm: the children’s display, shorter and quieter.
- 8pm: the main display.
- 8pm: last admission, strictly. The club says it in every announcement.
- General admission: £9 online. Children under 6 go free.
- Hospitality: The Burrow at the Blues, £37 a head, with a meal from Chicken George, a private bar and a viewing gallery. The Dovecote Park Suite, £55 a head, with a two-course dinner of bangers and mash then sticky toffee pudding, and a private viewing gallery.
Buy in advance: there may be no gate sales
The club’s wording this year is that it expects “no tickets available on the gate”, and it describes the display as “selling out in advance annually”. The £9 is the online price; the club calls it discounted, but it has not published a gate price for 2026. If you mean to go, buy now rather than on the night.
What you can and cannot bring
From the ticket page’s restrictions:
- No food or drink may be brought into the ground, and no glass bottles on site.
- No smoking in the FK Restoration Stand.
- Only guide dogs are allowed inside the ground, so leave other dogs at home.
Food outlets line the main drive in front of the funfair. The Scrum Bar, Rebel Bar and CMC Marquee are open for drinks only.
How it has run before
The club has held the display on a Friday every year it has run since 2019, with no display in 2020 because of Covid.
| Year | Date | Advance ticket |
|---|---|---|
| 2019 | Friday 1 November | £2 off the gate price |
| 2021 | Friday 5 November | £6 |
| 2022 | Friday 4 November | £7 |
| 2023 | Friday 3 November | £7.50 |
| 2024 | Friday 1 November | £8 |
| 2025 | Friday 7 November | £8.50 |
| 2026 | Friday 6 November | £9 |
Under-6s have gone free every year. In earlier years all three entrances opened: the main gates on Goldington Road, the Burrow entrance opposite Bushmead Avenue, and the hospital gate off Kimbolton Road. The club has not yet listed entrances for 2026.
Parking: there is none at the ground
The ticket page is blunt: “There is no parking available on site.” The club points people to nearby residential streets and town centre car parks, and asks them to walk, use public transport or share cars.
On-street parking in Bedford is free after 6pm Monday to Saturday everywhere except Castle Lane, where charging runs to 11pm. Several council car parks close before the crowd leaves at about 9pm, so check the closing time before you leave the car. Our Bedford parking guide has the tariff, closing time and free periods for each council car park.
Any roadworks on Goldington Road or Kimbolton Road that week will show on our Bedford roadworks and travel page, refreshed from the national street works register.
The council is not running a display
Bedford Borough Council’s park events calendar lists every event booked on council parkland. It has no fireworks for 2026. Around bonfire night it lists Russell’s circus on Longholme Way and the Bedford 10k and Half Marathon on Sunday 1 November.
