Ticketmaster does not let its event pages be read automatically, so we have not been able to confirm the individual ticket prices from the official source. What the ticket does and does not let you bring
The promoter’s FAQ, last updated on 27 September, sets out the rules for every 2027 night:
- One folding chair per person in General Admission, but only in the marked area towards the back of the arena. No chairs in the VIP Terrace or The Retreat.
- One sealed bottle of water, up to 500ml, plus one empty plastic refillable bottle. No other food or drink, and no metal bottles. There are free refill points.
- No umbrellas. The show goes ahead rain or shine, and there is no refund if you leave because of the weather.
- Children aged 16 and under must be with a ticket-holding adult aged 18 or over. Under-2s go free and need no ticket; everyone else pays full price.
- Prams are allowed, behind the chair line. Dogs are not, except assistance dogs.
- The site is cashless: cards and phone payments only at every bar and food stall.
- It is not a camping event.
The VIP Terrace adds a separate fast-track gate, a raised decked viewing platform and private bar, a welcome drink, bowl food and access to The Retreat. The Retreat on its own gives fast-track entry, a private bar and unreserved seating, but the FAQ warns that its picnic benches have no view of the stage.
The band play Friday 2 July 2027, with Scouting for Girls as special guests. The promoter’s own event page confirms the date and sells General Admission and VIP tickets. Ticketmaster, the official ticket agent, lists the show as starting at 5pm.
Madness are the first act announced for the 2027 series. The band’s own live listings carry the Bedford date as part of a run of outdoor shows next summer, alongside Delamere Forest, Thetford Forest, Cartmel Racecourse, Cannock Chase, Westonbirt Arboretum, Rochester Castle and York Racecourse.
The concerts have a new name
The series is now called Live at Bedford Park and runs from 1 to 4 July 2027, four nights. It was previously Bedford Summer Sessions.
Bedford Borough Council’s own park events calendar records what the 2026 run looked like under the old name, also four nights at Bedford Park:
- Deacon Blue, 2 July
- UB40 featuring Ali Campbell, 3 July
- Tom Grennan, 4 July
- Paul Weller, 5 July
Three of the four 2027 nights had still not been announced on 4 October. A four-day Early Bird Festival Pass is already on sale through the promoter, starting at £199, and it covers all four headliners whoever they turn out to be. Buying it now means committing before three of the acts are known.
The park itself
Bedford Park is the borough’s own. The council describes it as a Grade Two listed Victorian park and the largest urban park in Bedford. It opened in 1888, holds a Green Flag Award, and has a tree trail of original plantings from the 1888 design.
Day to day it carries tennis and basketball courts, cricket and football pitches, a bowls green, an outdoor gym, play areas and a café, The Pavilion At The Park. The car park gives three free hours, which is worth knowing on a normal day and worth forgetting on a concert night.
The promoter gives the concert address as Bedford Park, Park Avenue, MK41 7SS; Ticketmaster’s venue listing uses MK40 2PF. The promoter is plain that there is no general parking on site and points people to the council-run car parks, so the park’s own three free hours are no help on the night.
What it means for you
- Tickets have been on general sale since 10am on Friday 25 September 2026, through Ticketmaster and the promoter.
- The four-day pass is £199 and is on sale now, but only one of the four headliners has been named.
- The show is Friday 2 July 2027, gates at 5pm, with Scouting for Girls supporting, and should finish by 11pm.
